I was out of school that time and working for a fast food restaurant. I did not earn much, but the job was a good start. It introduced me to the reality of life. How do I see myself 5 years from now? In 10 years? How would life be when I turn 60 years old?

I cannot stay and be that-kid-from-Bacolod “only.” I have to reach my potential and be someone my future family will be proud of. And this gave me the drive to achieve something someday.

Missionary days.

Wedding Day :)

My mission trainer and his wife.

Fast forward, June 2020, I and my wife started our own Drugstore business. It is located in the Municipality of Basista, Province of Pangasinan, Philippines. Both of us came from a humble beginning. It is a leap of faith owning a business. Things didn’t come easily for us. We need to learn as we go. There are days and weeks that tears are shed. The pandemic didn’t make things easier for us either. We are still grateful to be in this position. We are still a little better than we were yesterday.

Every cloud has a silver lining.  This situation showed us what we are truly made of. It taught us that those who made it to the top, didn’t just walk in the park to get there. Hard work, determination, and hope are the meds, pills and vitamins to get us there.

Humble beginning.

Grand Opening day

Shelem Faith Pharmacy is created to remind us of our humble beginnings and hard works. We came from where the majority came from. We understand how they feel. We are driven for our passion to give back to the community that has been so good to us.

Blessed to be here.

True enough, we have not “perfected” the business side of things. We cannot say that we are now successful. At least, we are now in the process of reaching and soaring for greater heights. The process will surely “complete” us as a person and a business. We are more humbled to be in a position to take a bigger leap of faith towards our goals.

All the glory to the Master healer who we will always “look up” to. As everyone who heed this invitation, will “be healed.”
